Located in Rural Cambridgeshire, Europe’s largest independent Aerospace company are seeking to appoint new Air Traffic Controller (ATCO) for their airport in Cambridge.

As an ATCO you will provide a safe, orderly, and expeditious flow of ATC services to all aircraft operating under Instrument & Visual flights rules when arriving, departing, or operating in the vicinity of Cambridge City Airport, de-conflict aircraft from vehicles and other obstructions on the ground while operating at all times within the limitations of their ATC license.

You will ensure that all services are provided in conformance with CAA Regulatory Standards and local Cambridge City Airport instructions including CAP 493 (MATS Part 1), MATS Part 2, the Cambridge City Airport Safety Management System, and all other documentation to assure the initial and on-going safety of ATC Operations.

Working Monday to Friday, you will have access to excellent facilities, in a secure location. Cambridge City Airport is the ideal gateway to one of the UK’s most famous and thriving cities. The Airport is located close to Greater London and with no slot or refuelling restrictions we are an excellent alternative to Stansted and Luton Airports. The airport’s 1965m runway is serviced with full air traffic control, radar and instrument landing systems and is one of the best equipped regional airports in the UK.

Qualifications

* Hold a UK CAA Air Traffic Controller’s license with APP rating and ideally ADI, APS rating and must validate this at Cambridge as part of their continued employment.

* Hold a current UK CAA Medical Certificate

* ATCO Level 6 English language proficiency

Desirable:

* Met Observers Qualification

* OJTI, UCA Endorsement

* Verifier/Evaluator Qualification

* To have validated ATCO Class G Airspace experience

* To be an experienced OJTI and/ or unit training officer
