Job Purpose:
The Technical & Compliance Engineer will enhance technical expertise within multi-site R&D environments, ensuring the reliability and compliance of facilities. The role will involve working across three locations, overseeing engineering compliance, collaborating with cross-disciplinary teams, and supporting audits and compliance activities.

Key Responsibilities:

* Integrate engineering support across multiple R&D locations to maximize facility uptime.

* Maintain strong knowledge of UK statutory compliance, including PSSR, LOLER, F-gas, Legionella, electrical safety, and asbestos management.

* Support root cause analysis for engineering issues and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

* Assist in completing site gap analyses against client standards and ensure compliance in areas identified.

* Participate in audit preparedness and assist in fronting internal and external audits.

* Support the identification and execution of capital and minor projects across the three sites.

* Ensure smooth project delivery and handover in collaboration with service provider project management teams.

* Contribute to infrastructure lifecycle asset management and identify sustainability initiatives.

* Familiarize with client systems for document management, maintenance, and EHS reporting.

* Assist in management monitoring activities as per the company's schedule.

* Co-author and review standard operating procedures (SOPs) for engineering processes.

Qualifications and Skills

Essential:

* Degree in an Engineering discipline.

* Strong willingness to learn and grow engineering competencies.

* Experience in Research & Development processes in GxP/regulated facilities.

Preferred:

* More than five years of professional experience in managing complex facilities, especially in GxP environments.

* Prior experience in engineering or facilities project management.

* Strong adaptability to address multidisciplinary engineering matters.

* Prior electrical experience preferred.

* Proficiency in Root Cause Analysis tools such as 5 Why’s and Fishbones
