This is a national role that requires regular travel, including visits to your nearest office two to three times per week. Suitable office locations include London, Stockport, Leeds, Chesterfield, and Sheffield.

Our estate is changing to support more parcel sorting capabilities and automation, the business 'Steps to Zero' environmental objectives, whilst continuing to maintain our high standards of safety. The Property team is an integral part of the transformation and provides expertise to drive and achieve maximum commercial value to the property portfolio.

About the Role
Reporting into the Property Portfolio Strategy & Projects Director, you will lead the Portfolio Strategy team to identify, prioritise, and develop innovative strategic property solutions.

You will also:
• Lead the property interface to work with colleagues in the Strategy and Network teams to understand and define the Network strategy.
• Turn data into insight to create regional strategies including every property in the estate and enables the creation of a long-term plan and supports shorter term decisions.
• Inspire a team of 5 to deliver high quality outputs and develop their own skills.
• Take ownership of business cases for individual property projects.
• Identify Property data and system improvements to support the development and implementation of the Portfolio Strategy.
• Engage with operating businesses and leaders at a strategic level to ensure the fit of property strategy.

About You
To truly excel in this role, you will possess, and be able to evidence, the skills and experience listed below:
• 5+ years relevant experience working at a senior level in a commercially focused environment - ideally in a Real Estate or Corporate business.
• Previous experience of leading and developing a team to achieve strategic objectives.
• The ability to confidently work within a level of ambiguity and complexity to deliver results.
• Excellent communication and relationship building skills with the ability to influence senior leaders in effective decision making.
• Great commercial acumen with a broad market knowledge and customer understanding
• Able to understand the principals and frameworks for successful Planning, Project & Portfolio Management within a fast-paced business environment.
