Nine Twenty Engineering & Manufacturing are partnering with a leading manufacturing company to recruit a Welding Team Leader. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced leader with a strong background in welding and fabrication to join a dynamic team.
Key Responsibilities:
* Drive Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) performance across the team, ensuring no harm to people, equipment, or the environment.
* Provide technical assistance to improve safety, production, and quality standards.
* Lead and develop a team of welders, managing individual and team performance through coaching and mentoring.
* Manage work priorities and provide quality assurance on completed work, ensuring all processes align with the company's Quality Management Systems.
* Ensure operational compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
* Lead HSE tours, reporting and investigating incidents or near misses, and ensuring corrective actions are implemented.
* Provide expert welding knowledge and skills in TIG, MAG, GMAW, pipework assembly, and fabrication.
* Strong understanding of NDE processes, including penetrant testing, radiographic testing, and visual inspection.
Required Skills and Experience:
* Recognised Welding Apprenticeship.
* Experience in leading teams in a manufacturing environment.
* Proficiency in TIG/MAG and GMAW welding processes.
* Experience in managing safety standards and ensuring compliance with HSE policies.
* Strong communication and leadership skills.
* Knowledge of CSWIP 3.1 is preferable, or willingness to work towards certification.
* IOSH Certificate (preferable).
