Property Restoration Technician

Our superb client in the Property Damage Restoration sector is seeking a number of Technicians owing to business growth. Working 40 hours per week Monday to Friday 8.00am - 4.30pm covering the Midlands. It is essential that you have a full UK driving licence (no more than 6 points on licence) and your own transport to be considered for the role.
Working as part of a specialist team, as a Property Restoration Technician, you will be involved in the restoration of commercial and some residential property, structures, machinery, following events such as fire or flooding. You will be responsible for stripping out commercial properties following water / fire damage, setting up equipment to begin the drying out process, before the property can be restored back to full use, ensuring compliance and health & safety at all times. You will order specialist equipment and materials in advance of project needs, returning equipment at the end of the project. Upload project reports and updates to company claims management system,. You will assist in looking after temporary hires during projects. Coaching where necessary. You will work on a range of specialist projects and some smaller projects from time to time. You will attend team meetings and will be required to travel extensively and stay away from home regularly during the week and when required in fully expensed accommodation with a meal allowance. You will have a basic knowledge of CDM regulations and be able to complete risk assessments and method statements as well as undertaking electrical and mechanical technical decontamination and structural decontamination and drying.
To be considered for the role of Property Restoration Technician , you will have previous experience in a similar damage restoration or construction labouring position where you have worked extensive with building materials, you will have manual dexterity, pc literate and a good level of general education. If no experience in the restoration industry you must still have building / labouring type experience for the Technician role. You will have excellent communication skills along with empathy and customer service skills. You must be able to work away from home where accommodation will be paid and you will receive a £25.00 dinner allowance per night.
In return our client is offering a starting salary of £25,000 if no relevant industry experience or basic building labourer skills and more for Technician level if you are experienced in fire & flood restoration.
Starting salary £25,000 with overtime over 40 hours, laptop, mobile phone, 25 days paid annual leave, plus statutory holidays, pension, life assurance after probationary period, social events, career training and progression.
