Do you want to support young people (16 to 18) who are at high risk of homelessness, after leaving care.

How about working for a charity that puts people at the heart of everything they do?

We are searching for a small team of Support Assistants, based in the Brecon area, to work within an amazing project that provides safe, secure accommodation for young people.

PLEASE NOTE THERE ARE TWO FULL TIME AND ONE PART TIME POSITION AVAILABLE

What's does it look like?

Full time 47 hours per week
Brecon based service
Permanent contract
2 x 24 hour shifts per week
Starting at 9.30am - Cover the day shift then in to a sleep in.
Finish at 9.45am the next morning.
Time off in between shifts to rest.
Rotating shift pattern on a 4 week rolling rota
Salary of £24,090

What's the job?

Supporting young people between 16 and 18
Working with individuals who have experience of the care system
Understanding trauma and integrating trauma informed practice in to your work
Providing reliable advice and guidance
Following the safeguarding and health & safety policies
Working with other services (multi-agency working)
Covering a rota as detailed above
You'll work in a brand new service, with a separate staff house and 4 individual bungalows for the young people.

What do we need?

Someone with a real passion for helping others
A solid understanding of the causes of youth homelessness
Compassion, understanding and resilience
Driver with a vehicle would be highly desirable
A DBS on the update service - Or willing to carry out a new DBS
Someone who is willing and able to work days and sleep-in shifts
Flexibility around shifts and assisting when needed
A driver would be preferable, due to the location of the project
