About the Role:
GSL Education is actively searching for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant for a warm and inclusive specialist school in Basingstoke. Seize this chance to influence the next generation's development within GSL's creative and collaborative teaching atmosphere, receiving valuable support along the way.
SEN Teaching Assistant Role:
Implement strategies to support students with diverse special needs particularly those with autism or social and emotional needs to help them reach their maximum potential.
Cooperating with teachers and fellow SEN Teaching Assistants to foster an inclusive atmosphere conducive to learning.
Utilising various methods to encourage positive behaviour and active participation in learning activities.
Contribute to maintaining a positive and inclusive classroom environment by assisting with behaviour management and fostering a sense of belonging among students.
Offer personalised one-on-one assistance to students with special needs.

Requirements for SEN Teaching Assistant role:
Experience working with children with special needs, particularly those with autism or social and emotional needs.
Knowledge of and experience with behaviour management strategies.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team and communicate effectively with parents and other professionals.
A patient and nurturing approach to working with children.
Ability to adapt and be flexible in a fast-paced and changing environment.
Commitment to ongoing professional development in SEN practices and strategies.

Have the right to work in the UK.
Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last 2 years.
Have a DBS registered to the update service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education
