Avanti Recruitment has partnered with a leading engineering consultancy in the Cambridge area, that due to recent project wins is expanding their R+D capabilities by adding a senior hardware engineer to the team.
You'll come in, working on cutting edge technology in the security/defence space, so will require sole British citizenship for the necessary security clearances - don't worry, we're not talking about weapons or missiles, but instead; communications, radio, and signal jamming technology. Although this is the project you'll begin working on, the business also take projects on in other sectors, including; consumer, life science, healthcare, cellular, and energy, which are all areas you can get involved with over time.
This role will require security clearance, so all candidates MUST have sole British citizenship & ability to obtain clearance up to UK Eyes Only.
What we're ideally looking for:
5+ years of experience working in an electronic/hardware engineering role
Exposure to the full hardware design life-cycle, taking projects from concept to production.
Experience with analogue and digital electronic design
PCB design/layout, schematic capture, documentation, as well as testing and validation.
It would be great if you have experience with:
Some embedded software development (C)
Working on standards-driven projects
Experience leading a small team - required for higher seniority/salary banding
