All About the Role
Based at our Barrett Engineering Steel, Willenhall, site the purpose of this role is to ensure customers’ orders are fulfilled to the highest standards in a fast-paced environment. The shift hours are rotating Monday to Friday 6 am to 2 pm, then Monday to Friday 2pm – 10pm.

 Specific tasks will include:

Loading, cutting (Saws) and offloading of steel. 
Pick computer generated orders with repetitive handling/lifting of heavy and large item.
Ensure all documentation is correctly actioned for accuracy of stock.
Transferring stock to its location using a Forklift truck.
Assisting in the overall production and dispatch of customers’ orders
Keep work area clean and tidy maintain high levels of Health and Safety.
Be adaptable and flexible in approach to work to meet operational requirements.
Operate machinery (only when trained to do so)
Any ad hoc duties as required in the role.

Essential Skills for the role: 

The successful candidate will have experience as a Saw Operative,  ideally gained in the steel industry or heavy industry experience.
Have a flexible attitude, be results oriented, and enjoy working in a team environment.
Bandsaw/Side-Loader/ Fork-Lift experience desirable, however training will be given.
A strong commitment to Health & Safety.
Ideally a Driving License
