Job Title: Interim Assistant/Deputy Headteacher (3-6 Month Placement)
Location: Greenwich (SE10)
Start Date: Immediate

Are you an experienced school leader with a passion for supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? Do you have a strong background in SENCO responsibilities and safeguarding? We are seeking an Interim Assistant Headteacher for a 3-6 month placement to join our dynamic leadership team and make a real difference in the lives of our students.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide leadership and support in all aspects of Special Educational Needs (SEN), ensuring that pupils receive the appropriate support to thrive academically and personally.
Act as the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL), ensuring safeguarding policies and procedures are effectively implemented and adhered to.
Oversee and manage the SENCO duties, working closely with teachers, support staff, and external agencies to create and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs) and ensure compliance with SEND legislation.
Collaborate with the senior leadership team on strategic planning and school improvement initiatives.
Provide day-to-day leadership support, including staff development, curriculum planning, and behavior management.

Key Requirements:

Proven experience working as a senior leader in an educational setting, with a focus on SEN provision.
Qualified teacher status (QTS) and a relevant SENCO qualification (or significant SEN experience).
Extensive knowledge of SEN policies, procedures, and best practices.
Experience as a Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL), with in-depth understanding of child protection policies.
Strong leadership, communication, and team-working skills.
Ability to start immediately and commit to a 3-6 month placement.
