Deputy Headteacher Job Description

TeacherActive is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Headteacher to join our team in the Middlesbrough area. As a Deputy Headteacher, you will play a key role in supporting the Headteacher and leadership team in driving the school's vision and strategy forward.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead by example, demonstrating a commitment to excellence in teaching and learning.
  • Develop and implement effective strategies to improve student outcomes and achievement.
  • Collaborate with the leadership team to develop and implement school policies and procedures.
  • Provide guidance and support to teachers and staff to ensure high-quality teaching and learning.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of the school's curriculum and assessment strategies.
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Deputy Headteacher or similar leadership role.
  • Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire staff.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with staff, students, and parents.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach.
  • Passion for education and a commitment to improving student outcomes.
