Domus Recruitment are working with a reputable provider on a Lead Social Worker position to support men and women diagnosed with a Learning Disability in a specialist inpatient admissions service.
Key Responsibilities of a Lead Social Worker:

To work within the values of the Department as expressed within the Care Act and ‘Putting People First’, promoting autonomy, independence, choice and wellbeing.
To take overall responsibility and work with autonomy for a complex allocated caseload, practicing and communicating skilfully and effectively whilst exercising professional judgments in complex or ambiguous situations arising; including risk, uncertainty and challenge in partnership with service users promoting participation in decision making.
To work with individuals facing complex social and family crisis, undertaking a range of high-quality assessments, reassessments and reviews (undertaking Mental Capacity Act Assessments and following Best Interests procedures as appropriate).Lead Social Worker Requirements:

A relevant Social Work qualification
Registered as a Social Worker with Social Work England
Minimum 3 years qualified experience
Experienced in working in a mental health setting, or passionate about working in this field
Highly knowledgeable of the Children’s Act, Mental Health Act and Mental Capacity Act, as well as GDPR and patient confidentiality.
Able to confidently apply the principles of safeguarding children in practise
One years’ post qualification experience working as a Social Worker with children
An excellent communicator with exceptional interpersonal skills
Able to work as part of a multidisciplinary team
Skilled in report writing with excellent literacy skills and attention to detailBenefits:
