Quality Engineer - Fasteners Position Overview

To work with the Quality Manager and Quality Inspector to ensure that the company are able to meet the company QA objectives, which entail the drive for continuous improvement within the framework of ISO 9001, to take receipt of quality product and then to subsequently deliver this product right first time to our customers. These objectives will necessitate dealing directly with both suppliers and customers and will also require working interdepartmentally within the company.

Quality Engineer - Fasteners Position Requirements

Must have worked in an ISO 9001 approved manufacturing company, preferably ISO16949.
Experience with threaded fasteners preferred.
Understanding of process capability, Cp & Cpk.
Knowledge of core tools e.g. SPC, PPAP, MSA, FMEA.
Knowledge of quality tools in resolution of quality concerns.
Experience in internal auditing, qualification preferred.
Involvement in ISO 9001 & customer audits.
Able to use basic measuring equipment such as micrometer, electronic calliper (vernier calliper), shadowgraph, thread ring & plug gauges.
Computer (Excel & Word) literate.
Experience in data analysis.
Experience dealing directly with both customers and suppliers.

Quality Engineer - Fasteners Position Remuneration

Salary: £35,000 - £40,000

Hours: 8:00 - 17:00 (1 Hour Lunch) 16:00 finish Fridays.

Holiday: 20 days plus Bank Holidays
