Are you a skilled Manufacturing Buyer looking for an opportunity to support critical Ministry of Defence projects?

We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Buyer to join our clients team in Norwich. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the seamless procurement of materials and components for innovative defence engineering projects.

Key Responsibilities:
Source and procure materials, components, and services required for manufacturing projects in line with project timelines and budgets.
Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure reliability and quality.
Negotiate contracts and pricing agreements to secure the best value for the company.
Monitor supply chain performance and address any issues that could impact project delivery.
Collaborate closely with engineering, production, and project management teams to meet requirements.
Ensure compliance with MoD and industry-specific procurement standards and regulations. Requirements: To be considered for this role, you must meet the following criteria:

Proven experience in a procurement or buying role within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
Strong negotiation and supplier relationship management skills.
Excellent understanding of supply chain processes and procurement strategies.
Familiarity with MoD or defence sector requirements is highly desirable.
Must be a British citizen due to the security requirements of the projects. Working Pattern:
Monday to Thursday: 07:45 to 16:30
