At TeacherActive we are excited to partner with a forward-thinking secondary school seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join their dynamic team. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a vital role in nurturing students’ academic and emotional development.

About the Role:

As a Secondary School LSA, you will:

Deliver tailored literacy and numeracy interventions to students needing extra support.
Provide targeted assistance to students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and various learning difficulties.
Collaborate with teaching staff to implement effective strategies for student progress.
Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Offer one-on-one or small group support to help students overcome barriers to learning.
About You:

We are looking for someone who:

Has prior experience in a similar role, ideally within a secondary school setting.
Is confident delivering literacy and numeracy support to KS3 and KS4 students.
Has a good understanding of SEMH strategies and the ability to work empathetically with students facing challenges.
Is adaptable, patient, and passionate about making a difference in education.
Holds relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant, or equivalent experience).
