Primary Classroom Teacher | Merton (SW19)

A top-performing primary school in Merton is looking for a committed and energetic Classroom Teacher to become part of their exceptional team. The successful applicant will demonstrate excellent classroom management abilities, a genuine enthusiasm for teaching young learners, and the skill to design captivating lesson plans.

Responsibilities:

Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons in accordance with the national curriculum.
Assess and record students' progress and provide regular feedback to students and parents.
Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation and fosters a love of learning.
Collaborate with colleagues and participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and school events. - Manage classroom behaviour and maintain discipline in accordance with school policies.
Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet the diverse needs of students.
Skills and Qualifications:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
Proven experience teaching in a primary school setting.
Strong knowledge of the national curriculum and assessment frameworks.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all learners.
Strong organisational and time-management skills.
Proficiency in using educational technology and digital tools.
Commitment to continuous professional development and reflective practice.
Preferred Skills:

Experience with inclusive education and supporting students with special educational needs (SEN).
Familiarity with the latest educational research and best practices.
Creativity and innovation in lesson planning and delivery.
Ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
