Helpline Care Navigator (Scotland)
Home-Based in Scotland

About Us

PSPA is the only UK charity providing support and information to people living with Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP) and Corticobasal Degeneration (CBD). These rapidly progressing neurological conditions are caused by the premature loss of nerve cells in certain parts of the brain. While there is no cure, many symptoms can be managed, and our mission is to provide everyone affected with PSP and CBD the information and support they need to live the best possible life.

Raising awareness among health and social care professionals since 1994, we also fund research into diagnosis and treatments, relying almost entirely on voluntary donations.

We are now looking for a Helpline Care Navigator to join us on a part-time, permanent basis, working 28 hours per week.

The Benefits

- Salary of £22,835.78 for 28 hours per week (£28,544.72 FTE)
- 28 days’ annual leave plus bank holidays – pro-rated for part time roles
- Pension scheme
- Employee Assistance Programme

This is a rewarding opportunity for a compassionate professional with experience delivering helpline and/or information and support services to join our life-changing organisation.

In this fulfilling role, you will have access to training and development opportunities designed to enhance your skills and support your career progression.

So, if you’re passionate about improving lives and looking to make a real impact, this is the perfect role for you

The Role

You will also seek to raise awareness of PSP and CBD within health and social care across Scotland, providing briefings and education sessions and attending neurology clinics to support with knowledge sharing and expertise.

Additionally, you will:

- Keep detailed records and engage proactively with individuals
- Identify ways to improve care and services for families affected by these conditions
