Are you passionate about promoting professional growth and enhancing the quality of care in the health and social care sector? Do you thrive in an environment that values continuous learning and development? HC-One is seeking a dynamic and experienced Learning & Development (L&D) Facilitator to join our dedicated team.

As a L&D Facilitator at HC-One, you will play a pivotal role in fostering a culture of continuous learning across our care homes. You will deliver engaging and interactive training, support home-based coaching initiatives, and collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure our colleagues have the skills and knowledge to deliver the highest standard of care to our residents. Your contribution will directly impact the professional development of our teams and improve the quality of care we provide.

Facilitation and Delivery Excellence

Facilitate dynamic, interactive learning sessions that inspire and empower care staff.

Deliver training using diverse methods including in-person workshops, virtual sessions, and blended learning approaches.

Create inclusive, collaborative learning environments that encourage critical thinking and skill mastery.

Coaching and Home Support

Provide one-on-one and group coaching to reinforce learning and promote professional growth.

Build supportive relationships with care homes to understand their unique learning needs and improve care delivery.

Support and mentor colleagues in coaching roles within the homes, such as Safer People Handling Coaches.

Learning Program Development

Conduct Training Needs Analysis (TNA) to identify gaps in skills and knowledge within our homes.

Collaborate with the Operational L&D Manager and L&D team to design, develop, and implement tailored learning programs.

Utilise instructional design expertise to create engaging and effective training materials.

Promote a culture of lifelong learning and continuous professional development across the organisation.

Act as a catalyst for individual and organisational growth by implementing innovative learning initiatives.

Performance Evaluation and Continuous Improvement

Evaluate the effectiveness of learning interventions through assessments, feedback, and performance metrics.

Use data-driven insights to continuously enhance learning and development strategies, ensuring measurable improvements.

Implement coaching strategies to monitor staff progress and support ongoing development.

Strategic Collaboration

Work closely with the Operational L&D Manager, wider L&D team, and key stakeholders to align learning initiatives with HC-One’s organisational goals.

Address the specific learning needs of each home, helping to close skills gaps and improve performance.

Drive positive outcomes for both colleagues and residents through strategic L&D interventions.

You have proven experience in designing, developing, and delivering training programs, both in-person and virtually, hold a training / teaching PTTLS qualification and ideally holding a relevant Learning & Development qualification.  With excellent communication and interpersonal skills, you have strong facilitation and presentation skills and can coach colleagues of all levels.

You are experienced with instructional design and adult learning principles, and with coaching and mentoring professionals to support their development.  You have strong organisational skills with the ability to manage complex schedules and travel requirements, and can support multiple projects and priorities in a dynamic environment,

Proficient in using learning management systems and e-learning platforms, MS Office suite and other relevant software tools, you can analyse data and metrics to assess the effectiveness of learning interventions.

Ideally you will be familiar with regulatory and compliance requirements in the health and social care sector.

This is a home based role with extensive travel with  overnight stays, which are planned in advance.

Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility and therefore it is important that you are able to recognise the signs which may indicate possible abuse, harm or neglect in its different forms and know what to do if there are any concerns. All colleagues are required to attend safeguarding training appropriate to their role and to undertake additional training in associated areas. You also have the ability to seek appropriate advice and report concerns, including escalation if action is not taken.

At HC-One, kindness is more than a word. It is a belief that caring for people means caring about what matters most to them so we can support them to lead their best possible life.
