The Office Manager would like to recruit someone who is positive and enthusiastic to work as part of a team of 20. You'll receive excellent training from a really supportive team and the opportunity to complete Insurance qualifications and grow your career at this company.

Job Title: Insurance Claims Handler

Location: Whitfield, near Dover, Kent. Your own transport is required for very occasional holiday/sickness cover in Tenterden and Ashford.

Salary: £24,000

Hybrid: 12 days working from home per year, subject to Manager agreement, ensuring the offices can remain open for customers.

Hours: Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm

Team social events twice a yearAs an Insurance Claims Handler your responsibilities would be to:

Acquire and maintain knowledge of Company products and claims licences.
Effectively manage the processing claims within the delegated authority from end-to-end ensuring that each step is managed efficiently and appropriately, in line with Company policies and procedures.
Obtain sufficient information from customers to intimate claims and assess appropriate claims route, ensuring appropriate records are kept of the assessment.
Manage claims from intimation to settlement including confirming cover, appointing suppliers and loss adjustors as required, keeping the customer informed and reaching satisfactory settlement.
Provide information to the Claims Team to proceed, appoint suppliers and loss adjustors as required and ensure the customer is kept informed and that the claim proceeds efficiently.
Ensure all records of the process are kept up to date, effectively utilising the relevant systems and databases currently in place.
Consistently provide excellent levels of customer service in all interactions with potential and existing customers, delivering on promises, meeting their needs and exceeding expectations.You'll be the perfect match for this position if you have:

Customer service experience within the Insurance sector
Claims handling or Administrative experience within an Insurance company
A desire to grow your career within Insurance
A Business (or similar) Degree (or equivalent)
Good IT skills especially Microsoft Office
The ability to work as a team, be super helpful and organised as well as build effective relationships through positive behaviours, honesty and integrity.Next steps:
