Job Title: EU Claims Coordinator

Department: Compliance

Position Type: Full-Time Regular

Pay Basis: Salaried - Once Monthly

Travel: 0 days per year

Hours of Work: 37.5 hrs / week

Reports to: Director, Business Finance

People Manager: No

How You’ll have an Impact:
You will perform the operations associated with the Claims Department to ensure timely actioning of New and Existing Claim being the main contact for any business-related claim issues.

DAILY TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES (include, but not limited to)
- Ensure continuous efforts to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively and jointly to provide quality customer service for Claims.
- Ensure procedures in Claims are correctly documented through SOPs and Flowcharts
- Maintain an operational awareness of the rules, regulations and laws that govern transportation throughout the EU.
- Deal with insurance claims directed towards Coyote Logistics
- Communicating with the relevant parties
- Obtaining and checking the documentation required for the claim
- Handling Claims below Insurance Policy Excess
- Recapping Claim expenses and Quarterly Update on Claims for Senior Management
- Analysis of Claims to see patterns and report to Senior Management and work with Senior Management to put corrective actions into place that meets both the Customers requirements (Contractual or otherwise) and Customer/ Carrier Operations Processes
- Ensure any Operational Issues Related to claims are identified/ escalated and Customer/ Carrier Ops are advised on Best Practices.
- ISO Duties on a business need basis, including annual Audits
- Updating Security Processes with changing needs of the Business
- Monitoring of Security processes in place to ensure compliance.
- Processing Claim Invoices through oracle for payment where required.
- Handling of Insurance Renewals and Additional Policies
- Defining new processes in relation to insurance policy changes and monitoring the effectiveness of the process, making alterations where required for the Business.
- Other duties as assigned based on business need.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS, CHARACTERISTICS, & EXPERIENCE
- Excellent customer service skills
- Proficient with MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Ability to identify and solve problems, perform under pressure, and meet deadlines
- Work with little or no supervision, and work well in a team setting
- Excellent communication, time management, and strong attention to detail
- Ability to assist in the development, documentation, and implementation of efficient procedures and best practices
