About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled autism education assistant to join our team at Hazel Cottage School. As a teaching assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the education and development of our students with autism.

Your key responsibilities will include assisting teachers with lesson planning, preparation, and delivery, ensuring that our students receive the best possible learning experience.

Our ideal candidate will be a dedicated individual who is passionate about working with children and young people, and who has the skills and commitment to make a positive impact on their lives.

Hazel Cottage School is a new school that provides education and care to students with autism aged 4-11 years. Our mission is to provide a high-quality education that meets the needs of all our students, and we believe that every learner deserves the opportunity to reach their full potential.

About Us

We are a collaborative and supportive team that is passionate about making a difference in the lives of our students. Our school is a Grade 2 Listed building that has been refurbished to provide a safe and comfortable learning environment for our students.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you will need to have:

  • Experience working with children and young people, preferably in a school or educational setting.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues and students.
  • The ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach to meet the needs of our students.
  • An understanding of the needs of students with autism and the ability to adapt your teaching style to meet their requirements.
