Trade Surveillance Compliance Officer (English & French Fluent)


We are seeking a highly skilled Trade Surveillance Compliance Officer with fluency in both English and French to join our Compliance team at a leading Investment Bank based in London.

As a key member of the Compliance team, you will be responsible for monitoring trading activities across various asset classes to detect and prevent potential market abuse, insider trading, and other regulatory breaches. You will work closely with front office staff, compliance colleagues, and regulators to ensure that all trading activities comply with relevant financial regulations in both English and French-speaking jurisdictions.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Conduct daily surveillance of trading activities across different financial markets.
  • Investigate alerts generated by the surveillance systems to identify potential breaches of market conduct regulations.
  • Liaise with regulators and internal stakeholders to ensure compliance with market abuse regulations.
  • Draft clear and concise reports in both English and French, summarizing investigations and findings.
  • Provide advice and training to front office staff on regulatory obligations.
  • Collaborate with the broader compliance team to enhance surveillance methodologies and systems.


Requirements:


  • Fluent in English and French (both written and spoken).
  • 1 year+ experience in trade surveillance or a similar compliance role within an investment bank or financial institution.
  • Strong knowledge of market abuse regulations (MAR) and other relevant financial regulations.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
