Job Description

The Apprentice Controls Engineer role involves working from the office with occasional trips to customer sites to ensure the safe and timely delivery of allocated work. Approximately 80% of the customers are industrial, with the remaining 20% being Civil Engineering.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop control solutions for the company's systems and applications
  2. In-house programming and testing
  3. On-Site Commissioning
  4. Product development
  5. Field service and customer support
Requirements
  1. HND / Degree or equivalent apprentice training in electrical/electronic engineering
  2. Proven experience in a similar role (highly desirable)
  3. Knowledge & understanding Siemens S7 (TIA Portal) desirable
  4. Proven Experience in PLC Programming - Ladder, High Level Programming such as SCL (highly desirable)
  5. Experience or knowledge in WinCC and HMI Designs
  6. Functional Safety and Safety Programming experience desirable
  7. CAD Experience (AutoCad, Eplan, Solidworks) would be an advantage
  8. Knowledge of Electrical controls legislation (Regs, LV Directive,) is essential
  9. Microsoft 365 (Office Tools)
