Job Title: Apprentice Controls Engineer

About the Company:

Our client is a leading player in the Heavy Forging/steel, Aerospace, Civil Engineering, and Fiber Glass sectors, offering a unique opportunity for Controls engineers or Electrical Maintenance Engineers to specialize in a field where every day presents new challenges and opportunities.

Job Responsibilities:
  1. Develop control solutions for the company's systems and applications
  2. In-house programming and testing
  3. On-Site Commissioning
  4. Product development
  5. Field service and customer support
Requirements:
  1. HND / Degree or equivalent apprentice training in electrical/electronic engineering
  2. Proven experience in a similar role (highly desirable)
  3. Knowledge & understanding Siemens S7 (TIA Portal) desirable
  4. Proven Experience in PLC Programming - Ladder, High Level Programming such as SCL (highly desirable)
  5. Experience or knowledge in WinCC and HMI Designs
  6. Functional Safety and Safety Programming experience desirable
  7. CAD Experience (AutoCad, Eplan, Solidworks) would be an advantage
  8. Knowledge of Electrical controls legislation (Regs, LV Directive,) is essential
  9. Microsoft 365 (Office Tools)
