Job Title: Security Officer

Location: Thistles Shopping Centre

We are seeking a proactive Security Officer to maintain a safe and secure shopping environment for our customers and staff. This is a permanent contract and SIA DS or SG Licence is required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out daily/weekly/monthly duties as outlined in the site Assignment Instructions
  • Ensure a safe and secure environment is maintained by being present on the mall
  • Conduct patrols covering all areas of the shopping mall and service yards
  • Take an active role in emergency situations, including first aid and fire warden duties
  • Oversee external contractor management to ensure safe working practices

Requirements:

  • Enjoy working as part of a team and the ability to work independently to reach shared goals
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal, to assist with accurate report writing
  • Excellent time management to ensure effective performance
  • Smart, well-groomed, and confident
  • Conflict Management awareness and a high level of customer care awareness
  • Familiar with patrolling and monitoring from both a loss prevention aspect and health & safety perspective
  • SIA Door Supervisor/Security Guard licence
