SEN Teacher - KS5 Only

We are seeking an experienced SEN Teacher to join our team at a specialist Post 16 SEN College in Slough. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of supporting students with profound and multiple learning disabilities and SEMH.

The college offers a bespoke curriculum focused on ensuring students can live independently following completion of their courses. Classes are made up of a maximum of 10 students, with 8-10 Learning Support Assistants to focus on the students' needs, allowing the successful candidate to focus on teaching and learning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach Monday-Thurs with Friday being a planning and enrichment day
  • Plan and differentiate lessons for 7-10 students in each class with PMLD
  • Ensure support staff are aware of lesson plans and objectives
  • Implement appropriate assessment with effective progress tracking

Requirements:

  • Experience with PMLD and complex needs
  • Diploma in Education and Training
  • Degree at 1st Class or 2:1 level
  • Teaching experience with students who have special needs
  • Strong communication skills
  • Strong planning skills
