About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and communicative Band 3 Administrative Officer to join our team at the Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our administrative team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional support to our patients and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide a high-quality responsive telephone service, handling high volumes of calls and ensuring that patients receive timely and accurate information.
  • Assist in the organization and servicing of clinics within radiology, ensuring that all necessary preparations are made and that patients are informed of their appointments.
  • Advise patients on agreed protocols, providing clear and concise information to ensure that they understand their treatment options.
  • Prepare referrals for verification and/or discussion by consultant radiologists/sonographers, ensuring that all necessary documentation is complete and accurate.
  • Liaise with medical staff to coordinate inpatient appointments and ward visits, ensuring that all necessary arrangements are made.
  • Provide reception cover as required, ensuring that the front desk is staffed and that patients receive a warm and welcoming service.
Requirements
  • Good standard of written and spoken English
  • Educated to GCE/GCSE or equivalent
  • Proven ability to work under pressure and adapt to different environments and circumstances
  • Ability to use initiative and prioritize workload
  • Clear concise verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent keyboard skills
  • Ability to learn and maintain knowledge
