About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our hospital pharmacy services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure patient services and medicines management are delivered in a safe, effective, economic, and timely manner.
  • Manage stock, including stock control, investigating and resolving discrepancies, and implementing new processes to improve stock holding within the department.
  • Support medicines optimisation at ward level, including assessing patients' own drugs, medicines reconciliation, and providing original pack dispensing.
  • Coordinate supply of discharge medicines, including dispensing TTAs on the wards.
  • Support the induction and training of staff, including Pharmacy technicians, Pre-registration Trainee Pharmacy Technicians, and Trainee Pharmacy Technicians.

Requirements
  • NVQ Pharmacy Service Level 3 or equivalent qualification.
  • Registered with the GPhC as a Pharmacy Technician.
  • Portfolio demonstrating competence of previous and current pharmacy practice skills, knowledge, and CPD.
  • Experience of stock management and medicines management at ward level.
