About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team in an outpatient setting. As a Senior Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the accurate dispensing of medications and providing excellent patient care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare labels and assemble prescriptions according to standard operating procedures.
  • Organize the timely supply of out-of-stock medication and communicate delays to relevant staff.
  • Counsel patients on medication use and provide information to nursing and medical staff on drug usage and availability.

Person Specification

  • Demonstrable ability to meet the Trust Values.
  • Registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
  • NVQ Level 3 and BTEC in Pharmaceutical Sciences or equivalent.
  • Qualified ACPT.

Desirable Qualifications and Experience

  • Management experience.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of setting up procedures.
  • Experience of working in an NHS hospital environment.
  • Computer literacy, including Microsoft software products.
