Job Title: Lead Instrumentation Designer

Wood is currently seeking a highly experienced Lead Instrumentation Designer to join our team in the Oil & Gas, Petrochemical or similar sector of the industry.

The successful candidate will provide support to our Client in the execution of projects, working closely with a multi-discipline engineering team in the Glasgow Office.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to engineering excellence by providing the link between engineering design theory and practical application.
  • Translate critical design concepts into workable plans for tangible end-products.
  • Interpret key documents including engineering standards, material specifications, P&IDs and Line List.
  • Utilize CAD/D software to create detailed designs.

Requirements:

  • Minimum ISCED level 5 short-cycle tertiary education in engineering discipline.
  • Valid Offshore Certs and willingness to go offshore.
  • Full understanding of materials and methods normally used in instrumentation discipline.
  • Competent user of CAD/D software.
