Job Summary

GREGORY DISTRIBUTION LIMITED is seeking a skilled Class 1 Night Driver to join our team. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for delivering finished goods to customers' depots, loading and unloading vehicles, planning routes, and interacting with customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliveries and Collections: Safely transport goods from our manufacturing points to customers' depots, adhering to schedules and deadlines.
  • Vehicle Operations: Load and unload vehicles, ensuring efficient use of time and resources.
  • Route Planning: Plan daily routes to optimize delivery times and minimize delays.
  • Customer Interaction: Engage with customers face-to-face and over the phone to resolve queries and provide excellent service.
  • Communication: Maintain regular contact with the transport team to update on progress and manage customer expectations.
  • Training and Development: Participate in regular training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge.
Requirements
  • Essential Skills: Be passionate about delivering exceptional customer service, work efficiently under pressure, and possess good geographical knowledge.
  • Qualifications: Hold a current DCPC Card and Digital Tachograph Driver Card.
  • Personal Qualities: Be fit, flexible, hardworking, and self-motivated, with a strong commitment to teamwork.
