Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Flood Risk Management Professional to join our team in North Yorkshire. As part of our Local Flood Risk Management Team, you will be responsible for delivering effective flood risk management measures and providing engineering and risk management support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the delivery of effective flood risk management mitigation programme and measures through strong contract management, performance appraisal, and development and training.
  • Act as budget holder for capital codes relating to the flood risk management programme of works.
  • Assist with flood incident reviews and investigations in accordance with the Local Flood Risk Management Strategy.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Significant experience in Flood Risk Management, excellent understanding of legislation, techniques, and practices associated with flood risk management.
  • Degree in Engineering or geography-based subject, HND, DipHE or FdA/FdSc qualification in Flood Risk Management or similar technical discipline.
