Morson Talent is seeking an Electronics Calibration Specialist to join our client's team in Bolton. The successful candidate will be responsible for servicing Electrical and Electronic Test Equipment, including Special to Type Test Equipment (STTE). This will involve fault finding and repair of test equipment, supporting routine calibrations, commissioning of Test Equipment, and drift analysis.

This is a 12-month contract position with the possibility of extension to a permanent role. The successful candidate will work within an experienced team of Calibration & Maintenance Engineers supporting complex test platforms in the manufacture and test of complex missile systems.

The ideal candidate will have a HNC/HND in Electrical & Electronics Engineering and experience in the calibration of test equipment and maintenance of test systems to component level. They will also be able to utilise instructions, handbooks, drawings or specifications to provide technical advice/guidance and conduct appropriate measurements and repairs down to component level.

The successful candidate will have good analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as good communication skills with the ability to tailor communication to the relevant audience. Experience of working on Environmental Chambers is an advantage.

Recognising the RESTRICTED nature of the work, suitable candidates will be SC cleared or eligible for this level of clearance.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Service Electrical and Electronic Test Equipment, including STTE
  2. Fault finding and repair of test equipment
  3. Support routine calibrations and commissioning of Test Equipment
  4. Drift analysis
  5. Work within an experienced team of Calibration & Maintenance Engineers
  6. Support complex test platforms in the manufacture and test of complex missile systems

Requirements:

  1. HNC/HND in Electrical & Electronics Engineering
  2. Experience in the calibration of test equipment and maintenance of test systems to component level
