Electronics Calibration Specialist

Morson Talent is seeking an Electronics Calibration Specialist for our client based in Bolton. The successful candidate will be responsible for servicing Electrical and Electronic Test Equipment, including Special to Type Test Equipment (STTE). This will involve fault finding and repair of test equipment, supporting routine calibrations, commissioning of Test Equipment and drift analysis.

This is a 12-month contract position with the possibility of extension to a permanent role. The working hours will be standard day hours.

Rates: £23.82 - £26.04 PAYE Bracket / £32 - £35 Umbrella Bracket

Requirements:

  1. HNC/HND in Electrical & Electronics Engineering.
  2. Experience in the calibration of test equipment and maintenance of test systems to component level.
  3. Able to utilise instructions, handbooks, drawings or specifications to provide technical advice/guidance.
  4. Good understanding of calibration principles and processes.
  5. Able to mentor other or more junior staff when requested by line manager.
  6. Able to deal with multiple issues, tasks and priorities concurrently.
  7. Analytical and problem solving skills.
  8. Good communication skills with the ability to tailor communication to the relevant audience.
  9. A good understanding of SAP would be desirable.
  10. Experience of working on Environmental Chambers an advantage.

Recognising the RESTRICTED nature of the work, suitable candidates will be SC cleared or eligible for this level of clearance.
