We are seeking an Electronics Systems Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electronics and experience in troubleshooting and repairing industrial electronic equipment.

The responsibilities of this role include:

  • Setting up electronic systems and devices.
  • Troubleshooting and repairing industrial electronic equipment.
  • Repairing malfunctions in circuitry and other system structures.
  • Troubleshooting electronic circuits to component level and identifying failure trends.
  • Testing electronic components to board level using various methods and testing equipment.
  • Repairing and/or replacing electronic components to board level.
  • Updating software and running tests on existing equipment.
  • Familiarity with different types of test equipment.
  • Recording and interpreting test data to determine pass/fail condition.
  • Communicating with management to keep them informed of job status.
  • Identifying potential areas for improvement of internal processes and procedures.
  • Performing field service visits to resolve technical issues and perform retrofits.
  • Ability to solder and desolder using through hole and surface mount technology.
  • Ability to recognize various electronic components and their functions.
  • Able to work in a progressive repair process.
  • Reading and comprehending complex manuals and diagrams.
  • Maintaining inventory.
  • Collaborating with other professionals on technical tasks.
  • Interpreting drawings, training manuals, and instructions.
  • Following written, verbal, and telephonic instructions.
  • Attending regular training workshops and reporting to the Supervisor.
  • Ensuring that all power and manual tools are operated in accordance with health and safety regulations.

Requirements

  • English (speaking, reading and writing) is mandatory.
  • Previous experience as an Electronics Technician or similar role (2 years minimum).
  • Completed exams in Electronics.
  • Ability to interpret electronic schematics and product drawings.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • Time management skills.
  • High attention to details.
