Job Summary

University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a skilled Controls Technician to join its established team dedicated to developing and expanding building automation, security, and ICT systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and operating plant, equipment, and services controlled by the building energy management and building automation systems.

Main Responsibilities

  • Ensuring efficient and effective maintenance and operation of plant, equipment, and services controlled and managed by the building energy management and building automation systems.
  • Continually developing, installing, configuring, and commissioning new and/or replacement intelligent controllers on the Trust-wide dedicated building management system network.
  • Supporting the Trust's security manager on matters including door access and CCTV.
  • Supporting the Estates Team in matters of ICT systems and networking exclusive to Estates.
  • Undertaking on-call duties as part of the on-call team to ensure that emergencies occurring outside normal hours are attended to.
