Job Title: Teaching Assistant - Primary School
Job Type: Full-time, Part-time
Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Teaching Assistant to support pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in a primary school setting. As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and other support staff to provide individualized support to pupils, helping them to engage with their learning and make excellent progress.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support pupils with SEN on a 1:1 basis, providing individualized support to help them access the curriculum
- Work with teachers to develop and implement strategies to support pupils with SEN, including behavior management and learning plans
- Prepare resources and materials for learning activities and lessons, as required
- Supervise pupils during break times and lunchtimes, ensuring their safety and well-being
- Communicate effectively with parents and other stakeholders to keep them informed of pupil progress
Requirements:
- Enhanced DBS clearance (ideally on the Update Service)
- Recognized childcare-based qualification (desirable)
- Experience of supporting pupils with SEN in a school setting
- Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
- Resilient, proactive, and positive nature
