Job Title: Primary HLTA (SEN Experienced)

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Primary HLTA with SEN experience to join our vibrant primary schools in Gateshead.

This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development and success of our students.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Support classroom teachers in delivering high-quality SEN teaching and learning experiences at primary level.
  • Lead small group activities and interventions to support SEN student progress and achievement.
  • Provide targeted support to students with additional needs, ensuring inclusive and accessible learning opportunities for all.
  • Assist with the planning, preparation, and assessment of lessons and learning materials.
  • Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to create a collaborative learning community.
Requirements:
  • Relevant experience working in a primary educational setting, preferably as a HLTA.
  • Experience of working with SEN pupils.
  • A Level 4 Higher Level Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent) is desirable but not essential.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate students.
  • A proactive and adaptable approach to supporting teaching and learning activities.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
