About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Geriatric Medicine Specialist to join our team at Barts Health NHS Trust. As a key member of our Emergency Department, you will play a vital role in providing comprehensive geriatric assessment to frail older patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough geriatric assessments to identify and address the complex needs of older patients
  • Work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans
  • Provide high-quality clinical care to patients with complex geriatric conditions
  • Participate in education and training programs to enhance your skills and knowledge in geriatric medicine
Requirements
  • MBBS or equivalent medical qualification
  • Full MRCP or MRCP with PACES
  • Experience of working in the UK NHS
  • Good basic general medical knowledge
  • Skilled at practical procedures such as arterial blood gases and catheterization
