Upper GI Clinical Nurse Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Upper GI Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our team at Kettering General Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.
About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and innovative environment, providing high-quality care to patients with Upper GI cancers. As a Clinical Nurse Specialist, you will be responsible for supporting patients and families affected by Upper GI malignancies, working closely with the multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless care delivery.
Key Responsibilities- Provide expert clinical care to patients with Upper GI cancers, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans, taking into account the patient's physical, emotional, and social needs.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care delivery, including referrals to specialist services and coordination of care.
- Provide education and support to patients and families, promoting self-management and empowerment.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of clinical guidelines and policies, ensuring best practice in Upper GI care.
We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced nurse with a strong background in Gastroenterology. The ideal candidate will have:
- Current registration with the NMC.
- Relevant postgraduate qualifications in Gastroenterology or a related field.
- Proven experience in clinical leadership and education.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
