Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled Building Senior Project Manager to join our team at Access Talent Group. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering multi-disciplinary projects from concept through to construction, utilizing their strong ambition to progress and collaborative working style.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To deliver projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • To identify and agree project objectives with the Project Director and develop a strategy for achieving these.
  • To manage any potential contractual or commercial risks and escalate them to the Project Director as necessary.
  • To utilize commercial manager support to understand contractual obligations and negotiate amendments.
  • To set objectives and define tasks for the project team, delegating authority and agreeing risk sharing arrangements.
  • To actively manage the project, technically and financially, in accordance with corporate policies and procedures.
  • To monitor and report performance against programme, technical quality, financial, and KPI targets.
  • To lead the project team, building and motivating members, providing regular feedback and ensuring they have necessary training.
  • To assemble and own the project delivery programme and delivery plans, providing regular reports to convey cost and schedule information.

Requirements:

  • A Chartered Surveyor (MRICS) or equivalent, with experience managing design commissions on large building/infrastructure projects.
  • Understanding and experience of deploying various forms of construction contracts, particularly NEC3 and JCT.
  • Experience preparing Scope Definition papers, Project Execution Plans, Risk Registers, Change Control Logs, and Client & Stakeholder Management plans.
  • Managing design projects to time, cost, and quality objectives, familiar with programming and earned value techniques.
  • Familiarity with BIM and understanding of 3D modelling tools for design and coordination purposes.
  • A valid UK driving licence.

Salary: £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience
