Job Description
The role of Senior Building Surveyor involves working across multiple projects in various sectors, including retail, health, energy, commercial property, education, and public sectors. Your key responsibilities will include undertaking feasibility studies, producing specifications, obtaining estimates, and administering contracts for refurbishment projects. You'll also be required to use and apply standard forms of building contract, such as JCT and NEC, and demonstrate knowledge and application of building surveying professional services. In addition, you'll mentor and train Building Surveyors, provide Supervisor support to Junior Surveyors, and line manage Junior Building Surveying staff. Other duties include carrying out surveys, inspections, schedules, providing professional services, and managing regional schemes, as well as developing new business opportunities and preparing and submitting bids. To succeed in this role, you'll require sound technical surveying knowledge, significant building surveying experience, and experience managing clients with a strong understanding of profitability, business development, and commercial awareness. You'll also need experience mentoring, training, and coaching team members, managing workloads and projects, and drafting technical documents. This position offers a competitive salary, ranging from £60,000 to £80,000 per annum, as well as a supportive team environment, opportunities for growth, flexible working arrangements, and a comprehensive benefits package.
