Waste Collection and Transportation Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced HGV Driver to join our team at Enva. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for the safe collection and transportation of hazardous and non-hazardous waste materials from customer premises to our recycling sites.
Key Responsibilities- Safe Collection and Delivery: Ensure the safe collection and delivery of all waste materials, adhering to all relevant legislation and company procedures.
- Equipment Operation: Operate all equipment in a safe manner, performing regular safety checks and reporting any faults or issues in a timely manner.
- Waste Loading and Spillages: Ensure waste is loaded correctly and safely, and all spillages are cleared up immediately and reported.
- ADR Regulations: Adhere to ADR Regulations regarding the carriage of dangerous goods.
- Vehicle Operation: Comply with legal requirements and company policies while operating a company vehicle.
- Tachograph Requirements: Comply with all legal and tachograph requirements.
- Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service, acting as the key point of contact for customers and communicating any additional requirements to the relevant departments.
- Experience and Knowledge: Experience and knowledge of EU & WTD Tachograph Regulations, good geographical knowledge of mainland UK, and a good understanding of Operator Licence obligations and regulations.
- Skills and Abilities: Good communication skills, ability to handle complaints effectively, and a proactive and safety-focused approach.
- Desirable Qualifications: Experience working within the waste industry, ADR certification, and a good understanding of the Highway Code and "Hierarchy of Road Users".
