About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Health Advisor Specialist to join our team in Southampton. This is an exciting opportunity to take your career to the next level and contribute to our mission of making trade flow better.

Job Description

  • As a Health Advisor Specialist, you will provide expert assessments and solutions tailored to the needs of our clients' employees.
  • You will develop and review policies, procedures, and guidelines to establish high Occupational Health standards and frameworks.
  • You will manage and ensure compliance to relevant professional, clinical, and company standards.
  • You will establish a proactive relationship with staff, managers, and HR Business Partners to deliver a comprehensive business-focused and clinically sound Occupational Health service aligned with current legislation, Department of Health, and NICE guidelines.
  • You will provide specialist advice to staff and line managers during periods of ill health or sickness absence, along with detailed medical reports summarising recommendations in accordance with best practice and the Equality Act.

What You Will Bring

  • You hold a Registered General Nurse qualification (NMC Registered)
  • You have minimum 3 years post-registration experience
  • You have previous experience working within an Occupational Health setting, which is essential for this role
  • You possess demonstrable experience and knowledge of undertaking health surveillance, safety critical medicals, and other related tasks
  • You have up-to-date awareness and understanding of HSE legislation, SEQOHS, and governance aspects, particularly work, health, and wellbeing issues
  • You have IT skills, including email, Word, Excel, and other software applications
  • You can meet regulatory CPD/Revalidation requirements

The estimated annual salary for this position is approximately £42,000 - £62,000 depending on experience, qualifications, and location.
