Electrical Maintenance Technician Opportunity

Mountjoy is seeking a skilled and experienced Electrical Maintenance Technician to join our team on the Isle of Wight. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the electrical systems and installations within our properties are safe, efficient, and meet the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Carry out electrical maintenance tasks, including installation condition reports, annual emergency light testing, fire alarm testing, and fault finding.
  • Quote for electrical test remedial work and ensure all electrical work meets the latest IEE Wiring regulations and British Standards.
  • Apply rigorous health and safety planning and practices, using risk assessments, method statements, and PPE where necessary.
  • Diagnose jobs before starting work, identifying materials needed and other trades required for full completion.
Requirements:
  • NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent.
  • 5 years' experience in an electrical maintenance/building environment.
  • Proficient in MS Office and able to use an IT system for job management and electrical certification.
