We are seeking a highly skilled Consultant Ophthalmology Specialist to join our team at King's College Hospital. The successful candidate will have expertise in medical retina and uveitis, with a strong commitment to teaching and training junior staff.
The post holder will be responsible for providing specialist Consultant leadership, expertise, and support to the medical retina services provided at King's College Hospital. This will include developing and providing comprehensive medical retina services, mainly dealing with diabetic retinopathy, ARMD, and vein occlusions, as well as uveitis.
The ideal candidate will have advanced subspecialty training in medical retina and uveitis, with experience in day-to-day organisation of ophthalmology services in a busy teaching hospital. They will also have a thorough understanding of principles of medical audit and experience of clinical research.
