SEN Education Assistant

We are seeking an exceptional SEN Education Assistant to join our team at Heath Farm School, part of Acorn Education, an independent SEN school that offers a unique and stimulating environment for pupils with complex needs.

As an SEN Education Assistant, you will play a vital role in helping our pupils overcome challenges and reach their full potential.
Responsibilities will include preparing learning materials, running classroom activities, and providing emotional and physical support to our pupils. You will work closely with our experienced teams to develop tailored initiatives that meet the needs of each individual child. Your calm, engaging, and resilient nature will help create a supportive and enriching environment that fosters growth and success.

About Heath Farm School
Heath Farm School is an independent SEN school that offers a unique and stimulating environment for pupils with complex needs. Our students present with a wide range of needs, including social and emotional issues, learning difficulties, mental health problems, and associated conditions. We have excellent ratios of at least 2:1, students to adults, and our classes typically have between 6-8 students.
As an independent SEN school, we are far removed from the bureaucracy found in many other schools and are able to abandon ineffective and traditional methods in favour of new, highly effective, and tailored initiatives. As an SEN Education Assistant at Heath Farm School, you will enjoy a market-leading salary of £16,669.25 per annum, paid for 80% of your contractual hours, giving you more time to do the things that make you happy. You will also have the opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge in a supportive and stimulating environment.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to be educated to GCSE grade C or above in Maths and English. You will also need to be calm, engaging, resilient, and enjoy working as part of a team. We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of our pupils, and all applicants will undergo social media checks and a fully enhanced DBS.
Salary: £16,669.25 per annum
Hours: 32.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Contract: Permanent, Term Time only
Location: Heath Farm School, Ashford
