We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join one of our partner schools in Folkestone. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals who are passionate about supporting children's learning and making a real impact in education.

Salary:

The estimated salary for this role is £15-20 per hour, depending on experience. This rate includes 12.07% statutory holiday pay.

Job Description:Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the classroom teacher with lesson preparation and delivery, ensuring a smooth and engaging learning environment for students.
  • Support individual students or small groups with learning activities, fostering a supportive and inclusive atmosphere.
  • Help manage classroom behaviour, promoting positive relationships and respect among pupils.
  • Provide one-on-one assistance to students with special educational needs (SEN), adapting teaching methods to meet their unique requirements.
  • Foster a collaborative working relationship with staff, contributing to the overall welfare and progress of students.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience working with children, preferably in an educational setting.
  • A patient, caring, and supportive nature, essential for building strong relationships with students and colleagues.
  • Ability to work well as part of a team and independently, adapting to changing circumstances and priorities.
  • Good communication skills, enabling effective collaboration with staff and stakeholders.
  • A willingness to support students with SEN and/or challenging behaviours, demonstrating empathy and understanding.
