About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Phlebotomist to join our community phlebotomy team at NELFT North East London Foundation Trust. As a Phlebotomist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our patients by collecting blood samples for diagnostic purposes.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect blood samples from patients in a safe and efficient manner
- Work under the direction of the Phlebotomy Lead to ensure a clean, comfortable, and safe environment for service users
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with patients, carers, and other members of the team
- Participate in the induction and training of new staff members
- Contribute to the maintenance of stock of clinical supplies and other administrative duties
Requirements
- NVQ level 2 or equivalent standard of literacy and numeracy
- Accredited Qualification in Venepuncture
- Basic First Aid Qualification
- Good communication and IT skills
- A driver's license and the ability to use a car on a daily basis
- Broad experience in taking bloods
- Experience of training junior members of staff in clinical and administrative procedures
