About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Phlebotomist to join our community phlebotomy team at NELFT North East London Foundation Trust. As a Phlebotomist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our patients by collecting blood samples for diagnostic purposes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collect blood samples from patients in a safe and efficient manner
  • Work under the direction of the Phlebotomy Lead to ensure a clean, comfortable, and safe environment for service users
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with patients, carers, and other members of the team
  • Participate in the induction and training of new staff members
  • Contribute to the maintenance of stock of clinical supplies and other administrative duties

Requirements

  • NVQ level 2 or equivalent standard of literacy and numeracy
  • Accredited Qualification in Venepuncture
  • Basic First Aid Qualification
  • Good communication and IT skills
  • A driver's license and the ability to use a car on a daily basis
  • Broad experience in taking bloods
  • Experience of training junior members of staff in clinical and administrative procedures
