About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Phlebotomist to join our community phlebotomy team at NELFT North East London Foundation Trust. As a Phlebotomist, you will be responsible for collecting blood samples from patients in a safe and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collect blood samples from patients in a variety of settings, including clinics and patients' homes.
  • Ensure that all blood samples are handled and stored correctly to maintain their integrity.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, carers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure that blood samples are collected and processed correctly.
  • Work collaboratively as part of a team to achieve high-quality patient care.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to maintain and enhance your skills and knowledge.

Requirements

  • Qualifications in Venepuncture and Basic Life Support.
  • Experience of working in a phlebotomy or clinical setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to work in a variety of settings, including clinics and patients' homes.
